Yes. Commify is built around Shopify's product catalog and order APIs. Other ecommerce platforms aren't supported today.

Any plan from Basic upward, including Shopify Plus. Development stores work too — useful for testing.

Postgres on AWS RDS in us-east-1. Backups are encrypted at rest. We never sell or share your data with third parties beyond what's needed to run the service (e.g. the LLM provider for chat replies).

Subscriptions include a monthly credit allowance. Each chatbot message consumes 1 credit. Run out and you can either upgrade your plan or buy a top-up credit pack. See the Pricing page for current plans.

Yes — every new account gets free trial credits to try the full flow before committing to a plan. No card required up front.

Yes. Cancellation is self-serve from Billing. You keep access until the end of the current billing period.

Major credit / debit cards via Polar (our billing provider). Local payment methods depend on Polar's coverage in your country.

Subscription credits reset each month. Top-up credit packs do roll over and never expire.

Usually under 10 minutes — Shopify OAuth + chatbot creation + connecting one channel. Larger product catalogs take a few extra minutes to fully sync.

Yes. We use Shopify's presentment money fields, so prices show in the customer's currency where Shopify supports it.

Yes. A single chatbot can handle Messenger, Instagram, and WhatsApp simultaneously. You can also run different chatbots per channel if you want different personalities.

Yes — the underlying LLM responds in whatever language the customer messages in. You can also pin a primary language in your chatbot instructions.

Embedded Signup is gated by Meta to Tech Provider / BSP apps. If you're self-hosting Commify and aren't a TP yet, use a BSP middleware (360dialog, Twilio, etc.) or apply for Tech Provider status. See Troubleshooting for the three paths forward.

Yes. After collecting name, email, phone, and shipping address, the bot reads back a summary, asks for explicit confirmation, then creates a Shopify order with all cart items in a single order. COD by default — no payment step in chat.

Yes. The chatbot's Instructions field lets you set tone, brand rules, what topics to avoid, and policies (e.g. "Never offer discounts"). The Knowledge base field lets you paste in FAQs, return policies, sizing guides, etc.

Yes. From the Conversations inbox you can disable the bot for a thread and reply manually. Re-enable when you're done.

That's intentional. Tapping "Add to cart" on Messenger cards previously caused duplicate cart events from accidental taps. Customers now add to cart by chatting with the bot — same outcome, fewer errors.

Yes — we honor data deletion / export requests within 30 days, encrypt data at rest, log all access to customer data, and never use customer PII for training models.

Yes — Level 1 (basic customer fields) and Level 2 (shipping address, phone, email) are both approved.

Per-workspace roles (Owner / Admin / Member). Members can't change settings or billing. All access to customer PII is logged for audit.

Your workspace and all associated data is retained for 30 days in case you reactivate. After 30 days it's permanently deleted. You can also trigger immediate deletion from Settings.
